Happy Monday everyone! Today I am feeling good about the progress I made over the weekend. I spring cleaned around the house. Washed blankets, sheets, fluffed pillows, cleaned closets; you name it, we probably did it.
Along with all that spring cleaning, I finally put the finishing touches on my Springtime placemats. Yeah!
In case I didn’t say so before, these mats were inspired by these two cute little owls you see pictured above. Owls are all the rage these days and am definitely in love with these two. Aren’t they adorable?
Anyway, I technically finished these on Friday, but I didn’t get around to washing and blocking these until Saturday. Sunday they were freshly laid out on the table in all their glory!
Now that my Springtime placemats are done now I can finally (without guilt) start on my lace scarf I had waiting in the wings. Here is a sneak peek at what I have accomplished last night…
Gorgeous, isn’t it? Well, I will post more details about this scarf when complete so I will just have to keep you in suspense about the awesome yarn this is made with and the pattern I chose.
In the meantime, happy knitting!
Until next time…
Look what a couple of weeks of dedicated loom knitting can produce! Viola! A hat and scarf set for little o’ me! Hooray!
Up until now, I absolutely hated switching back and forth between colors. Even when I was avidly crocheting. It boils down to one thing – weaving in ends. I loathe weaving in ends!
Thanks to my nifty new loom knitting book, I was shown and easy way to carry and hide different colorways between rows. No snipping, no ends to weave in. YES!
Both of these projects whipped up pretty quickly considering I still have my nine-to-five job and other art related projects I work on.
Now that I have built confidence in creating this set, I think I will move onto another project. Now I just need to decide what that will be?
Until next post…

Look who’s got a new hat and scarf from his awesome wife! That’s right- my husband!
After couple weeks of looming fun, I now get to unveil my latest complete project. Both of these projects were super simple. I loved how fast my hat came together and I absolutely love the ability to have and rolled in brim.
The scarf was just a touch harder since I still haven’t got quite the hang of going back-and-forth versus working in the round. Now that my husband has got his own set, I am feeling a little jealous. I think it’s time to make me my own set next. What do you think?
Until next time loom knitters!
