Afghan Sampler: 2nd Square

IMG_1550

Hello Loom Knitters! I am still alive and kicking out here, but I am starting to get side-tracked by my many projects I have going on the side. But do not fear! I have not given up hope of completing my afghan sampler as of yet!

Here is the second square I completed, this time with a twist! Literally. This pattern used a twisted knit stitch to make the square. Similar to the last square I completed, this one also uses alternating rows. It is very interesting that one little change creates a really interesting variation.

Now I just need to keep up the momentum and complete my next square.

Until next time!

Afghan Sampler: First Square

IMG_1549

Ten little days and one little square to show for it. Not too bad, right?

This square features a basic knitted fabric with alternating color rows. As you can tell from the photo, I decide to go with a black, white and grey color scheme for my blanket.

This was fairly easy to do and I look forward to making the next square. We’ll have to see what’s in store for me next.

Until next time…

New Loom Project: Sampler Afghan

IMG_1548

Okay folks! Sorry for the delay. I needed a little break from my last project before moving onto the next one. I haven’t started it yet, but I wanted to take a quick moment to unveil what I will be working on next. Can anyone say “Afghan”?

That’s right, you guessed it! I am going to be working on creating a loom knitted afghan!

Here a sneak-peak at this Afghan Sampler pattern from my loom knitting book.

Doesn’t this look great! Each square in the pattern is designed to teach you a new loom knitting technique as you go along. I can’t wait to begin creating each square and stitching these little babies together. This should be fun!

Until next time…
